What A Way to Wake Up!

This morning I woke up to my dear husband telling me that JM our 20 month old son had taken his diaper off in his bed and then pooped everywhere. I cried. Literally rolled over and cried. We got the mess cleaned up. And boy was it a mess. I was crying, JM was crying. It was not pretty. Later I found a couple verses that I really needed this morning.
Psalm 29:11~ "The Lord gives his people strength, The Lord blesses them with peace."
Psalm 43:5~ "Why am I so discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise Him again- my Savior and my God!"
Then I checked outMama Lily on her blog this morning and she made me cry as I thanked God for my little finger prints and my sometimes big messes, even if the are poopy occasionally. Thank you God!! My sisters are the best.

pee and poo -- looks like we're in it for the long haul!

Yep - some mornings are just harder than others. Especially when dirty diapers are involved. :-) But it sounds like you have great perspective and some wonderful encouragers, too.

BTDT, I have some poopy diaper stories I don't even want to go near, LOL! It's not so easy sometimes.

But all the hugs in the end make up for a bad day.

That part does get better. I promise. :) I think all three of mine did that, at least once. I remember using ducttape to keep the diaper on my most Houdini child (it didn't work.)
