Strawberry Farm
Easter weekend we had a free Saturday. Normally we all have dance class on Saturday mornings but because of the holiday weekend we had the day off. We’ve been wanting to go strawberry picking at a local farm for a couple of years but haven’t had the chance. This day we surprised the kids and loaded up to go picking. Because we’ve had such a warm early spring the strawberries were ready early.
The kids were really excited to be there.

Pick the red ones!

Consolidating the take!
Are we having fun yet??
YUM!!!!
Wagon ride back to the barn!
Family picture.
It only took about 15 minutes to pick two big baskets full of strawberries. They were so big and juicy. They made wonderful strawberry shortcake and now we have a bunch in our freezer for later.

St Patrick’s Day and Dancing
Our matching school kilts.
Andrew and Aria holding hands in the parade.
Uncle Peter and Christopher hanging out during lunch.
Aria dancing with her teacher Miss Bridget.
Joshua with Daddy. A pillow to the face by a certain brother bent his glasses out of shape. Two days without his glasses made him appreciate them a whole lot more when he got them back.
Andrew dancing with Lily and Katie, two others from his class.
Self portrait.
Aria with her holey mouth and dancing wig.
Andrew, being serious.

Christmas Pictures
I totally stole this idea from Mom Tog Diaries. I thought it was adorable and needed a new idea for this year’s Christmas card. Cards are coming soon but here’s the pictures.

First Day of School
Because the kids are in two different schools they all had a different first day. Joshua’s was first. Welcome to first grade.
Aria was second with her first day of kindergarten. She had a GREAT first day and couldn’t wait to go back this week. Joshua’s class is directly across the hall from her so he can walk her to class each morning.
Andrew was nervous about starting a new school but we went to the open house and met his teacher. He felt better after that. He’s going to be learning Spanish this year as well as taking choir. In 3rd grade they also start changing classes. He’ll have different teachers for all his core classes. It’s a huge step but we know he’ll do great. And yes, he does have to wear a uniform. He was most annoyed about having to keep his shirt tucked in but we told him he’d get used to it.
Aren’t they getting big?? Christopher and I will be finding things to stay busy…we’ve already got a bunch of things crossed off the list for today.
